Q. Where do I start & how do I go forward?
A. I will meet you and discuss your project with a view to assessing what you want. After that meeting I will give you a quotation for my fees & other fees such as council application fees.
- A measured survery and a sketch scheme: In which I will prepare basic drawings showing a proposed scheme & if appropriate, alternatives.
- Full planning drawing & planning approval that will be submitted to the Local Authority on your behalf.
- Construction drawings & a building regulations application also submitted to the Local Authority on your behalf.
- Preparing contacts & supervision. Valuation & certificates for building work. This will normall apply only to larger projects.
Q. Are we qualified & experienced to under take your project?

Q.How much will the architecural work cost?
A. I will give you a quote after I meet you & discuss your project. There is no charge for my first meeting with you.
Q.How long does the planning application take?
A. The Local Authority normally take 8 weeks to give either approval or refusal, from the time the application is registered with them.
Q.What if my neighbours object?
A. Firstly always talk to neighbours about your plan once you have a sketch scheme. If they have a problem it may be easily overcome. If their objection is unreasonable, according
to the planning policies & guidelines the Local Authority may decide to ignore unrealistic local objections.
